COVID-19 and the Future

Templeton, Isaac, Guest Writer

Corona virus disease is an infectious disease that attacks the respiratory system. The disease was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of China’s Hubei province, and has since spread globally, resulting in the ongoing 2019–20 corona virus pandemic. The first confirmed case of what was then an unknown corona virus, was traced back to November 2019 in Hubei.
Most Americans are facing adversity with adjusting to the ‘social distancing’ lifestyle.

Majority of the population didn’t take corona virus seriously at first, which amplified the spread due to human physical contact. With everyone confined to their living space, the big question is, when will the restrictions be lifted? Social distancing cannot be the number 1 cure for this virus, though it is helping by slowing down the spread, which gives researchers more time to study the virus and more time to develop vaccines. Unfortunately, for things to go back to normal it will take months, researchers don’t have enough information on this virus therefore we can not plan accordingly, the best thing we can do is stay inside and stay clean.
