Lizeth, Jose, Yael, and Keneth stayed after school to have a nice time with each other after a long stressful day.

School can be fun for some people, but others enjoy the feeling of hearing the dismissal bell at the end of the day and feeling excited to get home and relax after a long day of school. At least for some people, that’s how it is.

Ms. Stewbits stayed after school to help students with what they don’t understand and retake some tests and quizzes.

Students and teachers have different routines, obviously! It’s interesting how everyone has different schedules. Teachers usually stay after school to grade papers or do tutoring, but after that, they spend their time on their own entertainment and personal lives. Ms. Fuentes says “I make dinner for my husband and I, eat, clean the dishes, drink coffee and eat a small dessert, we do some work or read, we watch an episode of a show on Netflix, and then go to sleep”. Some students and teachers can have similar schedules. For example, Ms. Stewbits, did you know that she likes to do yoga? “After this (tutoring) I am going to yoga, but not every day, sometimes I clean my house, or take a nap.” Teachers can do similar stuff to students it’s interesting to learn new things about them.

Students, on the other hand, all have different schedules. Lara S. is a freshman who does homework after school, but on Thursdays, she stays after school for her club. She said that she is able to balance her school work with her personal life good because she doesn’t get a lot of homework and is able to spend a lot of time with friends and family. Nelson R. is a sophomore who says “ I do as much homework during my classes and at home, it’s completely the opposite because I do nothing and procrastinate.” Finally, Jose M. says “ Monday through Thursday I get ready for soccer, I usually have games every day and I get Friday as my day off but at the same time I need to be able to keep track of my school life because I can’t fall far behind.”

Many students have different schedules and it is interesting how everyone can be so different considering we are all around the same age and get out of school at the same time. Some of us have more responsibilities or work than others. We all use our personal time differently and it’s pretty amusing because wouldn’t it be boring if we all did the same thing?
