Is Cheating getting worse in our schools?

Perkins, Makaila, Writer

Recent studies show that more students are cheating because it’s easier than doing the work and it’s being more tolerated in schools. Cheating is nationwide and in many schools. Most students are more likely to do it because they’re struggling and cheating to survive or doing well and wanting to thrive. It also happens at competitive schools like Harvard, over the last year lots of it has been uncovered. Students cheat on tests, quizzes, homework, assignments, etc. Some sources believe that the parents can sometimes be at fault for this because if the parents don’t keep up with their child’s work, then the student will stop caring as well. Students cheat in a number of ways, they peek at others papers, they send each others work around, or Google the answers instead of learning the concept.
