Key Club: We Don’t Make Keys, but We Do Open Doors

School is in full effect, and it has been for the past four weeks, making students eager to start the year. One of the most important things students look forward to is joining a club and becoming part of a student-based organization. At East Tech, Key Club is one of the most anticipated clubs as it stands to be one of the biggest clubs on campus. There are many questions and concerns students have for this club, many of which have finally been answered.

Key club is a student based organization that focuses on community service.  It is advised by Mrs. Frye and club meetings are every Thursday in the lecture center or cafeteria beginning at 1:30pm and going until 2:30pm. Students who want to join can come to any meeting and speak with Mrs. Frye. Becoming a member is easy and simple.

It is encouraged to have students join Key Club in order to help make a difference in the community. A few exciting events Key Club has been a part of include:  the Color Run, the Breast Cancer and Alzheimer’s Walk, LVL UP expo, etc. So, invite all your friends and classmates to join, because Key Club surely is a one of a kind club!

“Why join key club? The answer is simple: so that you can help make a difference in the community.” – Stanley Yip, Key Club LTG

“When you join  Key Club, you’re not just joining an organization – you’re joining a family.” – Kendalee Lay, ECTA Key Club President
