Senior Update #4

Wargen Guittap, Justine Pura, Irene Soliven

Seniors! Our year is coming to a close! Can you believe we are in the last quarter of our high school careers? This senior update will fill you in on some of the most recent happenings here on the Mountain: The Dodge ball Tournament, HOSA SLC, and Senior Project Presentations!

The Dodge ball tournament resulted in yet another victory for the class of 2016!  The final teams in the boy’s championship were both senior teams (LDN and Blitzkrieg). At first, Blitzkrieg was announced the winners, however it did not end there. The audience speculated major discrepancy from one of the members of Blitzkrieg. He was seen staying in the game even after he got hit, and because of this, they had one more member at the end. Due to this, there was an outrage for a rematch. In the end, LDN was rightfully announced the boy champions of the dodge ball tournament.

Many senior competitors participated in the HOSA Student Leadership Conference 2016.   Senior, Katie Fuentes, placed in the Nursing Assistant category. A big congratulation to Katie who took home fifth place and also got an opportunity to go to nationals. We would also like to congratulate the rest of East Tech’s competing seniors on a job well done in other categories. This is the last year for the seniors and they had nothing else to say except that HOSA SLC 2016 was filled with irreplaceable and fun memories. ECTA HOSA Class of 2016 wants to thank their chapter president and advisor, Linda Ly and Mr. Ryan, for making this year’s experience one to remember.

Seniors, after a long six months of hard work, your senior projects are finally due. Seniors, you present to your mentors on Thursday, March 31, 2016 and to the entire school and community on Friday, April 1, 2016. Rumors have been circulating that there will be a senior prank on senior presentation day. For the sake of our reputation, let’s hope this does not happen! Good luck on your presentation Titans. This is one of our last opportunities to leave our mark on the mountain!
